Nate Pence

Nate Pence is a distinguished countertenor known for his clear, agile tenor‑alto range and expressive musicianship. After graduating from Southern Virginia University in 2012, Nate was invited to audition for Chanticleer, the acclaimed San Francisco–based, Grammy‑winning all‑male vocal ensemble. He earned a spot in 2014, and soon became first chair soprano in the ensemble. Amidst singing many seasons and international tours with Chanticleer, Nate completed his degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Florida. Nate is in his second season with Helios: A Modern Renaissance, where he can fully contribute his experience and expertise in early music styles.
