Urban Nocturnes

Urban Nocturnes is a modular chamber music ensemble made up of six outstanding Phoenix-based professional musicians. Founded by two members of The Phoenix Symphony, violinist Karen Sinclair and violist Christopher McKay, Urban Nocturnes aims to present classical chamber music in a manner that appeals to seasoned music-lovers and newcomers alike by devising programs that are aesthetically balanced, thought-provoking, and emotionally stirring. Also composed of flutist Viviana Cumplido Wilson, clarinetist Erin Finkelstein, cellist Melita Hunsinger, and pianist Olga Gorelik, the group’s programming showcases various combinations of their instruments with a commitment to delivering performances of the highest level and to demonstrating music’s universal power to engage and enliven the mind and soul.
