Trista Wong

Trista Wong joined the second violin section of the Phoenix Symphony in 2019. Besides the Phoenix Symphony, she has also played with the San Diego Symphony, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. Trista recently won the position of Third Chair First Violin of the Grant Park Music Festival Orchestra in Chicago. She received her Bachelor of Music degree at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music with Prof. Zhou Qian, and her Master of Music degree with full scholarship at Peabody Institute with Prof. Keng-Yuen Tseng. During her studies, she has served as the concertmaster of the Peabody Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Edward Polochick. Trista has won numerous prizes including the J.C. Van Hulsteyn Award in Strings: Violin for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019, Third Prize in the Yale Gordon Competition for Strings in 2018, and Third Prize in the 3rd Hong Kong International Violin Competition in 2013.
