Urban Nocturnes

Apr 21 2024
4:00pm
Trinity Cathedral

This Concert is Sponsored by
the Trinity Music Guild

Urban Nocturnes’ spring concert features Karen Sinclair, Christopher McKay, Melita Hunsinger, and Erin Finkelstein. All four kick off the program with the Quartet in E-flat Major by 19th-century Finnish composer and clarinetist Berhard Crusell, a rare late-Classical exploration of clarinet chamber music. This is followed by German- Dutch composer Julius Röntgen’s String Trio No. 2 “Dvorak”, a lilting and indulgent fantasia. In the second part of the program, the soulful colors of clarinet and viola entwine in Rebecca Clarke’s Prelude, Allegro and Pastorale, composed in the 1940s, and Jewish-Austrian Hans Gál’s Serenade for Clarinet, Violin and Cello combines Romantic lyricism with Modern chromaticism.

Tickets
Tickets are $25 – student discount tickets are $10 (Must present valid student ID at the door); Ticket sales will begin in early 2024.
