For the first performance of Handel’s Messiah in 1742, advertisements requested that Ladies attend ‘without Hoops,’and that ‘Gentlemen are desired to come without their swords’ to increase the capacity of the hall. Handel’s performance became an instant masterpiece and to this day remains a Music at Trinity seasonal favorite. Throughout the world, audiences have sat enthralled by the majestic choruses, and moving solos of this wonderful oratorio. Bring your own score and add your voice to our annual sing-along concert, now in its sixth season!
A dessert reception follows the concert in Olney Gallery.
Admission $10.00 to cover the cost of the instrumentalists.
Online ticket sales conclude two hours before the performance and are available for purchase at the door.
