This beloved Christmastide service and standing-room-only Trinity Cathedral tradition began in 1918 at King’s College, Cambridge. Nine lessons are read by young and old alike, and the congregation and community are interwoven through the singing of carols by both choir and congregation. Featured works by Willcocks, Briggs, Rutter and others. The seasonal merriment begins with a harp prelude and guests are invited to a traditional Wassail reception immediately following the service.
Paula Provo, principal harpist for the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, will begin pre-service music at 5:30.
