The final Choral Evensong is offered during the season of Easter and will feature works of twentieth century English composers. The canticle setting will be the “St. Paul’s Service” of Herbert Howells, written for the St. Pauls Cathedral (London) in 1951. The setting of the Preces and Responses is by Henry Clucus, written for the choir of King’s College Cambridge in 1964. Edgar Bainton’s most notable work, And I saw a New Heaven, rounds out the service music offerings.
