Choral evensong is the evening service of the Anglican Church and the choir sings much of the service by itself. There has been a tradition of choral singing at York Minster, in England, for a millennium or more. In 2019, the Trinity Cathedral Choir will add their voices to this revered space when they take up residency at York for a week in July. As a preview of the residency, our first Choral Evensong will feature works by musicians who served at the Minster. Music includes the “Canticles in G” by Francis Jackson, the Preces and Responses of Philip Moore, and the anthem “Lord, I call upon Thee” by Sir Edward Bairstow.
